HOPE : w.a.p. (women artists project)
A site-specific installational exhibition by eight women artists. The site is the former Convent (CHIJ) known as Town Convent, now turned into restaurant-cum-shopping-cum-entertainment centre.
The eight artists explored collaborative practices for the installations set up over three given spaces in Chijmes. The final works were called The Halls of Education, Topography of the Feeling and Thinking Body, Labyrinth, The Deconstructed, and @The Gate of Hope.
The last work attracted some controversy as after it was installed, management of Chijmes asked for it to be taken down. The reason given was that there was a complaint over the way it looked.
